The successful candidate will act as the Marketing Manager for the Capital Markets team within Wholesale Markets. Key objective is to deliver a wide range of activities to promote and develop the profile of Capital Markets in order to contribute successfully to its continued growth. The role involves management of all aspects of the marketing mix from developing the Capital Markets marketing plan to delivering the agreed activities. This will include advertising, production of marketing collateral, bespoke publications, sponsorships and working closely with the Events & PR Managers and the rest of marketing team.
- Work with Capital Markets and wider bank marketing teams to shape customer propositions and create/execute high impact creative campaigns to build the brand and deliver business objectives.
- Work closely with the events & PR team to help plan and deliver Capital Markets PR, events and seminars.
- Manage the Capital Markets marketing budget spend.
- Ensure strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders: within Capital Markets and other divisions
i.e. Marketing and business teams in Corporate Banking and Commercial, Private Wealth and Retail.
- Manage marketing agencies and external suppliers to ensure cost effective delivery of work reflecting legislative, tone and brand style requirements.
- Evaluate Return on Investment for events, email communications and online strategy, enhancing where appropriate to maximise effectiveness.
- Monitor compliance with Bank and regulatory policy recommending action where necessary in order to minimise risk.
- Manage and monitor changes to systems, processes and working practices, providing training and support where appropriate, in order to achieve operational improvement.
Skills required:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a marketing role, with experience of the financial services environment and to be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of corporate banking and related banking products.
- Proven creative judgment
is essential with the ability and experience to direct and manage agencies.
- Strong project management skills with ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Knowledge of online marketing, marketing communications and Capital Markets products.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior colleagues to take action.
- Strong customer driven marketing orientation.
- Proven ability in developing customer focused communications strategy and propositions.
- Marketing degree or appropriate qualification desirable.
