In-house Travel Administrator / Manager

We are seeking an experienced in-house travel administrator to manage the full travel function for a new mining company based in the West End. This is an extremely busy role with in excess of 150 people traveling in February 2010 alone. The role will include flying in VIPs, suppliers and customers as well as staff. Travel will be Global and as they are a mining company the bulk of the bookings are for difficult to reach locations.

With this being a new role you will be responsible for writing the travel policy, implementing it, assisting the line in using it and finally reporting on travel activity. You will be the in-house expert to complete booking but also more importantly you will need to deal with escalation, exceptions and emergency situations. As such you will need to be available 24/7 to assist staff abroad who need help. To enable to this happen you will be provided with a Blackberry/Laptop so you can work from home as needed.

As you will be based in the London Head Office you will be required to provide holiday/sickness cover for the CEO’s PA, therefore you will need to have the skill set and flexibility to do this.

The ideal candidate will have worked in an in-house travel management capacity previously. It is vital that you have advanced Word and Excel skills (including Pivot tables) to enable you to prepare and present comprehensive reporting.

This position offers a salary in the range of £25k - £30k per annum, dependant upon experience and it is available to start immediately, however they would wait for the right person. Benefits include 25 days holiday, private heath and medical insurance.
