We are currently recruiting for a Workday Project Manager role, based in Sunbury for 6 months. The project manager will be responsible for managing the deployment of the Workday Services Programme (WSP) solution into their allocated country and is therefore required to have at least 5 years’ project management experience ideally within an HR organisation, and have a good understanding of the activities involved in the lifecycle of technology deployment.

The project manager will work with the points of contact within the local country team as well as the WSP global team and leadership team. The project manager will in effect be a liaison between the global team and the local country ensuring that the activities that are required to be done, both in terms of the global and local plans, are completed on time and to sufficient quality.

The project manager will participate in the appropriate WSP governance forums and will represent the country in terms of their plan, risks, issues and readiness to deploy. The project manager will support the country team in risk mitigation and issue resolution where feasible.

Responsibilities

 Develop and own the deployment plan for the country
 Manage and track activities against the plan and call out any slippage, risks and issues to the programme leadership team
 Ensure risk and issues are being documented in the programme RAID log and that appropriate mitigation/resolution plans are in place
 Contribute to, and participate in, Programme governance meetings where required
 Represent the country in the Programme go-live readiness process and provide readiness status across all areas of the solution
 Adopt and support the country in complying with the programme management tools and processes (eg. use of RAID log, action tracking, using correct templates, using SharePoint for programme documentation etc)
 Support the global and local teams in stakeholder management, where appropriate

Experience & Knowledge

 Experience and knowledge of project management methodology
 Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesise information quickly
 Experience of interacting with stakeholders at all levels; ability to understand the audience and tailor the level of interaction accordingly
 Experience of large organisational change projects or programmes
 Experience of HR systems and processes within a large, complex, multi-national organisation
 Experience and good knowledge of Workday
