Purpose of Role:
Ensuring scheduled training programmes are delivered according to the agreed global standard process, minimising any potential risks and/or hazards, ensuring the silent running of all Group training programmes.
To build effective working relationships as single point of accountability with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities of Role:
• Establish role as single point of accountability for allocated training programmes within own Region and other Regions outside of normal office working hours, as required
• Application of standard learning operations process to all training programmes.
• Provide ad-hoc on-site coordination according to on-site coordination process.
• Proficient use of learning management systems and other BP data bases in support of training programmes
• Support business users in the use of learning management system
• Timely and accurate communication on all programme related enquiries with internal and external stakeholders
• Ongoing identification of opportunities for continuous improvement through relevant
focused projects
• Produce timely and accurate status report updates to the business including data analysis/validation
Key Challenges and Complexities of Role in the next 12 months
• On-boarding of a wider portfolio of training programmes throughout 2010

• Accountabilities at Regional and Group level
• Relationships: Learning Coordinators must be able to build effective relationships with the global community of Learning Coordinators, LD&L colleagues, Program Office, the wider community of learning and HR professionals, Delegates, facilitators, course custodians, vendors and suppliers.
Experience & Expertise required of Role Holder: (typical educational qualification, experience & essential competencies)
Essential Skills and Experience (years and nature)
• Ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of experience in an administrative role
• Demonstrated ability to self-manage and multi-task; ability to work on multiple training programmes simultaneously
• Strong planning, organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage own workloads
• Demonstrated customer focus and ability to work with many different people in setting up and staging training.
• High level of competency with Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrated ability with and knowledge of VTA(Virtual Training Assistant) following appropriate training.
• Must have the ability to work cooperatively and flexibly as part of a fast-paced and geographically dispersed team (very important)
• Must be skilled in working with databases (e.g., VTA Learning Management System, PeopleSoft, Access), reporting tools (e.g., Crystal Reporting), and Microsoft Excel (e.g., use of pivot tables, formulas, etc.)
• Willingness to work unsociable hours as required
