SKILLSMATCH FUNDED TRAINING PROGRAMMES
We talk to
hundreds of organisations in the commercial, not for profit
and public sectors, all with similar issues - under
pressure, under resourced - and often out of budget!
Does
this sound familiar to you?
An extra pair of
helping hands to support you or your team and give them the
time to focus on adding quality, production or profit -
without making a dent in your budget.
For over six years we have worked closely with the borough of
Tower Hamlets through their Skillsmatch banner. We design,
develop and provide training for those in the borough keen to
seek opportunity towards realising their ambition.

The programme offers work skills training, 2 – 4 weeks.
The borough is made up of a diverse range of ethnic populations
all keen to gain experience and opportunity. This has led
to a number of programmes being delivered for different skill
levels including graduates, school leavers and returners.
The programme has won numerous awards, including a National
Training award.

How
can you help?
By offering work
placement from 4-8 weeks, depending on programme.
Work placement is a key element and we are keen to develop
further potential placement opportunities with companies and
organisations in London that can offer such experience.
What's
the catch?
We can’t think
of any! Delegates are available to work completely free of
charge.
They are supported financially when training and on
placement from funding supplied by government and other
agencies. They receive £60 per week allowance throughout. We
also take references for a three year period and can offer
CRB and other checks depending on requirements.
What
we offer
The programme
has been tailored to recognise the subjects and levels that
are essential within the workplace. The focus is not
only on computer skills but also soft skills. The overall
objective for the programme is to prepare the delegates with
the right skills, aptitude and mental preparation for the
workplace. We support delegates through the whole
process and offer advice and guidance. We seek
employment opportunities for all delegates at the end of the
training/placement cycle. Many companies elect to
retain delegates on placement either as Full time or
Temporary members of staff. We ask companies to
reimburse the training allowance (£600) if they retain on
full time basis to enable further opportunity to others.
We also can arrange special programme temporary rates
through Love & Tate.
